What does Guide Shipping Protection cover?
We will replace any order that was lost, stolen or damaged during shipment.
What changes do you make to my store?
We add the Guide Shipping Protection item to your store catalog. This allows us to charge your customers our fee if they select Guide Shipping Protection during checkout. With your permission, our team also adds the Guide Shipping Protection widget to the cart or checkout.
Can Guide be Whitelabeled on my store?
Yes, Guide can be white-labeled on your store, if you head into the Guide App on Shopify you can customize most aspects of Guide in the 'Branding' Page.
Does Guide Shipping Protection work with all themes and apps?
Most apps and themes are compatible with our system. If you're experiencing trouble, please contact support via email at support@guideprotection.com.

How do my customers contact you to file a claim?
Please provide your customers with a link to https://www.guideprotection.com. or the specific claims URL that you created in the app. Once there, customers can submit a claim and we'll handle everything from there. If needed you can also file a claim on behalf of your customer in the Guide app if you head into the insights tab and search for the specific order
How do you collect fees?
When selected, customers pay the Guide Shipping Protection fee directly to your store when they check out. We collect this fee from you through a Shopify App Usage Charge after the order is placed.
Troubleshooting Self-Installation
You self installed the Guide widget on your store, good work! But you do not like how its positioned or it just doesn't look quite right. You can reach out via the chat widget and we can have our development team take a look at it for you and assist with anything that you need.
How much does Guide Shipping Protection cost?
Guide is free for merchants and is available for purchase to customers in the cart page or at checkout. For cart totals under $100 USD Guide is only $0.98 USD. For cart totals over $100 USD, Guide is 1.5% - 3% of the cart total.
If Guide is free for merchants, why do I see charges on my Shopify statement for Guide Shipping Protection?
You’re right. Guide is free for merchants! Because Shopify has a closed-cart system, the total revenue made by each sale sent to the merchant is unable to be split among different parties. In order for us to receive the amount that our mutual customers pay for Guide Shipping Protection, we send a usage charge through Shopify for each order that adds Guide. The charges on your statement are for the exact amount of the total protection fees. This amount is shown on your monthly statement so there are no suprises.
